Where Brighter Futures Begin

Sandy McMurtrie, ’99 alumna

Whether a student is just beginning her adventure or picking up where she left off, IPFW can help make dreams of academic and personal success a reality—in fact, (nearly half) of our students are returning adults, those who returned to college to continue their journey to a brighter future.

“I celebrate IPFW’s 50th by celebrating my own 25 years as an employee—and as an alumni who earned her degree at 50!” says Sandy McMurtrie.

IPFW offers the resources returning adult students need to be successful, including evening, weekend, and online classes, financial aid opportunities, and a dedicated support network to help returning adults find the right balance between family, work, and school obligations.

McMurtire understands the unique challenges returning adult students face, but also knows first-hand how rewarding the experience can be. “As a student and as an employee who celebrates the graduation of many returning adult students, I know IPFW is a great place for students to realize their potential!”
