A Chance to Look Back

2014 is coming to a close. It’s been a great year, and although we feel like we’re just getting started, we’d like to take a moment to look back on the events that have shaped our celebration.

In April, IPFW Sculpture with Purpose™ was presented to the public. These sculptural bike racks will permanently enrich the streets of Fort Wayne with functional and beautiful art for everyone to enjoy. The presentation of Sculpture with Purpose™ was the kickoff the IPFW 50th Celebration.

Who doesn’t like a treasure hunt? Hidden in each sculptural bike rack is a triangle waiting to be found. The Find the Triangle contest invited folks from the community to check out the sculptural bike racks and see how many triangles they could find, with prizes awarded to the winners.

And of course, the opening ceremonies in September reminded all of us on campus of the common history we share as members of the IPFW community. We celebrated on campus with free food, prize giveaways, and a presentation honoring IPFW’s 50 years of dedicated service to its students and the community.

We’ll see you in 2015.
