Keeping College Affordable

Mary E. Locker, ’75 alumna

Keeping college affordable is important. At IPFW, our graduates earn prestigious Indiana University and Purdue University degrees at one-third less cost, which lets them focus on what really matters: getting the education needed to pursue their biggest goals.

“My parents could not afford to send me to IU Bloomington, but my higher education was essential to them (and to me),” says Mary E. Locker. “IPFW afforded me a college education in order to begin my career as a teacher.”

Helping students get where they’re going is what our university is all about. To that end, IPFW strives for opportunities to assist our students in paying for college. 80% of IPFW students receive some form of financial aid, including scholarships, grants, and loans, while others find work-study jobs on campus to gain experience outside the classroom.

A gets-you-noticed degree at one-third less cost, with plenty of opportunities for financial assistance—for many students like Locker, that’s a big reason to celebrate.
