Dreams Coming True

Pauline Anstead, ’12 alumna

Dreams really can come true, and Pauline Anstead is living proof!

Anstead had a rough childhood and was unsure if she would be able to attend college. In 2007, she was accepted to and enrolled at IPFW, but the journey to graduation wasn’t always easy; with three children, Anstead had to work various jobs while taking classes.

In 2012, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art. Today, she is a substitute teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools and an Art teacher at Queen of Angels.“All of the wonderful people at IPFW made [my dreams] happen for me,” Anstead explains.

IPFW continues to help generations of students achieve their dreams: Anstead’s oldest daughter is now a student at the university.

Anstead looks forward to passing this experience on to others: “Now I can look forward to expressing to the children I encounter to never give up on yourself or your dreams.”
