Hitting The High Notes

Noelle Beal, current student

The IPFW Department of Music hits all the right notes when it comes to education. Housed in the beautiful Rhinehart Music Center, the department offers bachelor’s degrees in numerous concentrations, such as performance, music therapy, music technology, and vocal.

“The faculty and staff guide and foster students into true professionals and musicianship,” says current student Noelle Beal. Students have numerous opportunities within the department, such as performing in University Singers, Opera Ensemble, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble.

The department prides itself on offering small class sizes, which allows students and faculty to interact frequently. In addition, many faculty members have considerable study and experience within the discipline. “We are very lucky to have professional mentors from the [Fort Wayne] Philharmonic and other professional groups to learn from,” says Beal. “The IPFW Department of Music is able to provide the best and most superior education to its students!”
