A Way of Life

Lowell Beineke, faculty

For Lowell Beineke, Jack Schrey Professor of Mathematical Sciences and internationally recognized expert in the field of graph theory, IPFW is truly a way of life.

Lowell has the unique experience of seeing our campus grow and evolve over several generations; in fact, he has taught mathematics in Fort Wayne since 1964. “Since then, IPFW has nurtured my career and brought it to fruition,” he told us. “But IPFW also enriches my life with lectures, concerts, plays, sporting events, and even strolls along the riverbank.“

IPFW is home to some of the top minds in their respective fields, and we are proud to host such esteemed educators on our campus—but we also take a special pride in knowing that IPFW’s reach doesn’t end with the classroom.
